BJC Healthcare Boone Hospital Center- Cardiovascular Surgical Pod/ Hybrid OR Suite

The Boone Hospital Center project consisted of a 7,000-square-foot total renovation, transforming the vacated SICU into three cardiovascular operating rooms and a Hybrid OR Suite. The new operating rooms have features designed for improved workflow and patient safety during surgeries. Some of these features include the following: equipment integrated into ceiling-mounted booms; LED smart surgical lights that adjust automatically to reduce shadows; and special air diffusers to minimize the risk of airborne infections. Additional components of the space include a clean corridor, sub sterile, control rooms, soiled holding, and clean utility.
